• Texas Water Safari - World's Toughest Boat Race - A 260-mile canoe/kayak race braving mosquitos, fire ants, alligators, water moccasins, occasional storms, starting at San Marcos and ending in the Gulf of Mexico at the town of Sea Drift. Held the last part of spring since 1963
